These Terms and Conditions govern the purchase of custom-fabricated acrylic and CNC-cut plastic products from Cutting Edge Plastics and its divisions, including Elevator-Guards.com. Products may include, but are not limited to, elevator door baffles, acrylic pegboards, display components, and other fabricated plastic panels. By placing an order, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the terms outlined below.
Terms & Conditions
1. Custom Fabrication & Final Sale
Many products sold by Cutting Edge Plastics are custom fabricated to order based on customer-provided specifications, dimensions, or configuration details.
Because these products are made specifically for each order:
- All sales may be final once fabrication has begun
- Orders cannot be canceled, returned, or refunded after production starts
2. Elevator Products – Code Compliance & Use Disclaimer
Elevator safety codes and requirements vary by jurisdiction and are subject to interpretation by local authorities, inspectors, and elevator professionals.
For elevator-related products, Cutting Edge Plastics / Elevator-Guards.com:
- Does not certify or guarantee code compliance
- Does not provide inspection or approval services
- Makes no representation that any product will be accepted by a specific Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ)
The customer is solely responsible for verifying code acceptance, suitability, and installation requirements prior to ordering elevator-related products.
3. Half-Door Elevator Guard Acknowledgment
Some products, including half-door elevator guards, may or may not be permitted under certain codes or inspector interpretations.
By ordering a half-door elevator guard, the customer acknowledges that:
- Acceptance may vary by location and inspector
- Full-height guards may be required in some jurisdictions
- The decision to order is made with full knowledge of these limitations
4. Measurement Responsibility
Customers are responsible for:
- Providing accurate measurements and specifications
- Confirming site conditions, clearances, and obstructions
Cutting Edge Plastics is not responsible for:
- Errors caused by incorrect or incomplete measurements
- Fitment issues resulting from inaccurate information
- Field modifications required after delivery
5. Installation Responsibility
All products are supplied fabricated only.
- Installation is the responsibility of the customer or installer
- Improper installation may create safety or functional issues
- Cutting Edge Plastics is not liable for damages resulting from installation or use
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- Cutting Edge Plastics shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Total liability shall not exceed the purchase price of the product
7. Lead Times & Delivery
Production lead times are estimates and may vary due to:
- Material availability
- Production volume
- Custom fabrication requirements
Shipping delays beyond our control are not the responsibility of Cutting Edge Plastics.
8. Intellectual Property
All designs, drawings, images, and product descriptions remain the intellectual property of Cutting Edge Plastics unless otherwise agreed in writing.
9. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
